I was going for a dreamy fish in the clouds look. It came out just as I imagined.
Supplies:
Jellyfish Party Bold Prints stamp
March 2019 My Monthly Hero Kit
Sentiment: Hot Air Blooms stamp set
Hero Arts ink: Soft sky, Summer Sky
Embossing Powder: White detail, Silver Sparkle
Stars: October 2018 My Monthly Hero Kit
Sequins: December 2018 My Monthly Hero Kit
Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens: blue haze, blue shadow, green shadow, pale violet, blender
I first added ink to a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″ panel. Then I stamped and embossed the background stamp on another piece. I die cut the cloud from the background stamp first, laid it on the front panel and decided where to cut the cloud die and cut it.
I colored each jellyfish with only one color pen and the blender pen. I filled in the background with the haze blue. I laid the front panel on the card base then adhered the stamped panel in the right location.
The clouds were leftover from another project. I placed them around the panel and then determined the best placement for the fish stamp. I used the same soft sky ink as the background but stamped it multiple time to make it darker. I added summer ink to the edges of the clouds.
I adhered the acetate then added foam tape around the background stamp and covered the entire panel. I placed the sequins on the jellyfish. I added liquid glue on top of the foam tape as I noticed a previous shaker card was coming apart where the foam tape was pulling up.
I placed the front panel on top then adhered the clouds with foam adhesive and the stars with liquid glue. I stamped and embossed the sentiment on vellum and cut it down. I used tiny dots of liquid glue under the embossed areas to adhere it. Then I added shimmer to the clouds.
I hope you like the card and find the tutorial helpful! I’d love any comments or questions you have!
This is really pretty.
