I really wanted to keep most of my cards fairly simple and create quite a few. These two cards are probably the simplest.
Supplies:
Hero Hues Card Stock in Adriatic and Pitch Black
Hero Arts White Detail Embossing Powder
Distress Oxide inks
Stamping all these images then lining up the dies and cutting them would take some time and effort. But there is a shortcut. Die cut the quantity of images first then stamp them. Once they are all cut, place the negative (the piece with the holes) die cut card stock in the Misti choose one spot and line up the stamp in that negative space. Test out the placement by placing a scrap piece of paper under the negative paper and stamp. Once it’s placed to get the best image, run some repositionable adhesive in the negative space and place your first blank die cut. Stamp the die cut with the first color. Remove the die cut and continue to do the same for the remaining die cuts, changing color as needed.
Once all the cutting and stamping was done, I played around with how I wanted these images arranged and ended up with these two cards. I stamped and embossed the greeting before adhering anything. I didn’t measure anything when adding the die cuts. I just eyeballed it and when it looked right, I adhered everything with foam tape.
I’ve still got 12 cards to share from this months kit over the next few days!
