Reactive Ink Anniversary Cards

I have one more Celebration card idea to share for the May A Blog Named Hero Challenge. The challenge may have ended but we always need celebration cards!

Supplies:

Hero Arts Happy Message Fancy Die

Hero Arts Anniversary Fancy Die

Hero Hues Reactive Ink in Fruit Punch, Creamsicle, Lemon Drop, Green Apple, Pool Party, Blue Raspberry, Splash, Blue Hawaii, Grape Slush

Hero Hues Pitch Black Card Stock

Watercolor Paper

I started with a piece of watercolor paper that was cut to 4 1/2×6″ and taped it to a clip board. I took each ink pad and holding it vertically I swiped the edge of the ink pad across the paper. I repeated this for each color not worrying about gaps or overlapping areas.

Once all the ink was added I sprayed the paper with a mini mister. I wanted enough water to make the color move but not enough that I get puddles or too much mixing. If I did add too much water I tried to soak it up with a towel before it spread too much into the next color. I left both panels to dry overnight.

Once the panels were completely dry I cut them down to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″. I arranged the word dies how I wanted them to cut and die cut them from the reactive ink panel. I then cut each word once from black card stock and three times from white card stock.

I adhered the panel to an A2 card base then inlaid one white die cut and added the inked inner pieces. I next placed the black die cut words offset from the inlaid ones. I glued the other two white words and the inked word together and lined them up with the inlaid word on the card.

I really love these new Reactive Inks and plan to use them a lot more! Be sure to visit and like the A Blog Named Hero Facebook Page for more inspiration!
