Ornament Scene Cards

The current A Blog Named Hero Challenge is Christmas in July. I have really enjoyed pulling out all my stamps and dies right now when there’s no holiday pressure!

Supplies:

Hero Arts Delicate Snowflake Bold Prints background stamp

Hero Arts Winter Animals Stamp Set

Hero Arts Ornament Tags Fancy Dies

Hero Arts Tree Tags Fancy Dies

Hero Hues Reactive ink in Blue Hawaii, Splash, Grape Slush

Hero Hues Premium Card stock in Lapis and Pebble

Hero Arts White Detail Embossing Powder

Hero Arts Clear Embossing and Watermark Ink

I began by die cutting the tree and ornament shapes from Bristol Smooth Card Stock. I lined the die cut up on my grid mat to add masking tape in a straight line. I inked up the sky area with all three colors. I then removed the tape and used the Splash ink to add a light amount of color to the bottom to represent snow. I set these aside to dry.

Once dry, I stamped and heat embossed the images and greetings. Next I die cut the ornament and tree from pebble card stock and sprayed it with shimmer spray. I adhered the die cuts slightly offset to help them stand out from the blue background.

I stamped the background onto a piece of 4 1/4×5 1/2″ Lapis card stock using all the ink colors from the sky. I changed inks at an angle and then inked the edges with all three ink colors.

I added silver embossing floss through the hole in the die cut and glued on a bow. Then I added the ornament with foam tape and placed the panel on an A2 card base.

    1. No they don’t. That a great idea! I’ll have to do that for future cards. I could modify these two easy enough.
