Thinking of you Papercraft Business August Challenge

I’m so excited to now be a member of the Papercraft Business Challenge Design Team! This months challenge is to use a circle. I thought this sunset die would be perfect for a circle shaped card.

Supplies:

Hero Arts July 2019 My Monthly Hero Kit

Hero Arts Forest Sunset Fancy Die

Hero Arts Nesting Circle Infinity Dies

Hero Arts dye inks in Forest, Lime Green, Sand Stone, Cocoa, Dusty Blue

Neenah 110lb Card Stock

Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Brushes

I cut a piece cardstock to 8 1/2×5 1/2″ scored and folded it at 4 1/4″. I lined up the third largest circle die with part above the fold. This way it won’t cut the fold and creates a folded circle shaped card. I lined up the mountain die with the same circle die and taped them in place. I die cut them together from white card stock.

I next ink blended the die cut trees with two shades of green. I only added the darker green to the edges of the trees. I blended the lighter green out to the edges of the circle on the bottom portion of the die cut. I applied a light amount of blue ink to the bottom of the clouds and then to the outer circle area.

I placed the circle card base in the Misti and using the front circle panel as a guide I placed the first layer of the tree stamp and stamped it on the card base. I die cut the coordinating tree line die from masking paper and lined it up over the stamping. I then stamped the mountains. I used a tiny blending brush to get the ink into the white spaces left because of the mask.

I removed the tree mask, stamped the second tree layer and repeated the steps above for the second mountain layer. I die cut the mountain range from masking paper and put it on the card. I added blue to the sky of the card base.

Before I adhered the die cut scene I stamped the birds twice and added the greeting. Then I adhered the top die cut with foam tape.
