The October challenge at Papercraft Business Challenge is to use a tag! I’ll need a lot this holiday season so I thought I’d get started with this one.
I began by die cutting the pieces from the appropriate color cardstock. I cut the truck twice so I had a backer. The star and the brake lights were cut from white cardstock and colored with copic markers to give them a more glowing effect.
I added shading to the die cuts with copic markers as well. It’s subtle but it does give it a little more interest. I then heat embossed the “to, from” on the back truck piece. I used a combination of foam tape and liquid glue to assemble the truck. The tree was assembled with liquid glue. Be sure not to add any adhesive behind the tailgate until you have all your pieces in the truck bed!
I adhered the back piece with score tape but foam tape would make it even more dimensional. To finish up, I added white highlights. I also added shimmer pen on the star, brake lights and “Ho, Ho, Ho”. I tied some twine at the top to finish off the tag.
