The current A Blog Named Hero challenge is sparkle and I knew I wanted to use these two sets. They were giving off retro Vegas vibes so I went on Pinterest and found some great inspiration.
I began by stamping the greeting onto Adriatic cardstock with embossing ink and heat embossing it in silver sparkle embossing powder. I don’t have the dies so I fussy cut it out. I then die cut all the shapes from teal glitter cardstock that came in a previous My Monthly Hero Kit.
I blended on navy and purple dye inks to the edges to give things a glow in the middle. I added some die cuts with liquid glue and others on foam tape. The greeting was added with foam tape.
I stamped and heat embossed the stars once everything else had been adhered to fill some empty spots. I then splattered on liquid shimmer. That was the perfect finishing touch!
I love how this card turned out. You can see more inspiration for the sparkle challenge on the A Blog Named Hero Facebook Page. Be sure to like and follow us while you’re there. Don’t forget to share and enter your own card in the sparkle challenge as well. I look forward to seeing what you create. Thanks for visiting today!
