Stamped Envelopes – Anything But A Card Challenge

Anything but a Card is the current challenge at A Blog Named Hero. I decided to create two simple envelopes for the challenge.

For this first card I used the Props Turnabout Stamp. I die cut the third smallest Rounded Rectangle Infinity Die from masking paper. I centered it on the envelope. If I were adding an address to this envelope I would probably use a larger die.

I stamped the turnabout stamp using a variety of Hero Arts Dye Inks. When finished, I used a white gel pen to fix any areas that bled when I stamped them. Before removing the mask, trace around the mask with a black pen. I put a scrap piece of cardstock in the envelope and added a shadow on the white center area using C1, C3, C5 Copic markers.

To finish off the card I stamped a sentiment from Mail Delivery By The Stamping Village stamp set using Creamsicle Reactive Ink.

My second envelope using only one stamp from the Stamped Just For You stamp set repeatedly across the bottom of an A2 Sand Envelope. I colored them in rainbow order with colored pencils.

I placed a scrap piece of cardstock in the envelope and created my shadows as above. I also used YR31 around the candles for a glow. I used a glitter pen on the confetti.

On the back of the envelope I stamped an image from Mail Delivery By the Stamping Village stamp set in Blue Hawaii Reactive Ink.

I hope you liked these envelopes and found the tutorial helpful. I don’t normally decorate envelopes but I’d like to do it more regularly. I hope you and your family are staying healthy and finding activities like the A Blog Named Hero challenge to occupy yourselves during this difficult time.

Thank you for visiting. Stay safe, stay positive and stay home!
