Watercolor Encouragement Card

The newest challenge at A Blog Named Hero is watercolor. I have only one Hero Arts liquid watercolor that I bought on sale a while back so I wanted to use it for the first time.

I cut a mask from the Rounded Rectangle Infinity Dies then placed the negative on a quarter of a piece of Arches Cold Press Watercolor Paper. I taped the panel to a clipboard. I began by adding a layer of clean water to the panel. I started at the top adding Leaf Liquid Watercolor. As I went down the panel, I added more water to the paint to lighten the green to get an ombré look. I let the panel dry then repeated the process several times until I achieved the look I was going for. I then added silk bronze ink that was included in a the September 2019 My Monthly Hero Kit to the top. I repeated that once more. I let the panel dry completely then die cut it with the same die I used for the mask.

When I get a monthly kit or a stamp set, I like to stamp and color several copies of all the images. That was the case with the images on this card from the December 2019 My Monthly Hero Kit. And what a relief in this time when everything is so difficult. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from the Beautiful World stamp set. I foam mounted everything and added it all to a wood textured card base.
