Watercolor Wreath Card

The Watercolor challenge at A Blog Named Hero has ended and a new one will start soon. I’m here today to share one more watercolor card with you!

Update 4/5/2022 – I used products from the January 2020 My Monthly Hero kit which is no longer available. The products are now available for individual purchase and are linked below.

I began with a piece of watercolor paper, Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush. I scribbled a line of color onto the paper with the markers then spread it out with the water brush. I did this in rainbow order letting the markers gently blend from one color to the next. I set the panel aside to dry.

Using only one leaf die from the January My Monthly Hero Kit, I die cut as many images as I could. I used a Nesting Circle Infinity Die and traced it onto a 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” panel of white cardstock lightly with a pencil. I arranged all of the die cuts around the circle before gluing them down. Once I was happy with spacing, I used a glue sponge to adhere them, adding glue only to the stem.

I used a sentiment from the December 2019 My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped on black cardstock with white detail embossing powder and die cut with a Nesting Circle Infinity die. I adhered it with foam tape.

I thought the yellow area at the bottom was a little bear so I die cut a butterfly from the January My Monthly Hero Kit and use purple Zig markers and a water brush pen to color it. Once it was dry I adhered it with liquid glue for the body and foam dots for the wings. I added black splatter to finish off the card.

There is a new challenge starting soon but you can still visit the A Blog Named Hero Facebook Page for more inspiration!
