The embossing challenge at A Blog Named Hero has ended but I have one more card to share. This time I’m dry embossing with a stencil. The stencil, image and greeting used on this card all come from the June 2019 My Monthly Hero Kit which appears to still be available.

1. Begin by laying the stencil over a 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” piece of Meadow cardstock. Use a small piece of Purple Tape to keep the stencil from shifting.

2. Using the embossing mat, run cardstock through die cutting machine twice. It worked the first time but gave a much deeper impression the second time.

3. Using Green Hills Mid-tone Shadow Ink, ink blend lightly over the entire panel with a blending brush. Blend only the edges using Forever Green Mid-tone Shadow Ink.

4. Stamp the image using Intense-ified Black Ink.

5. Color the image using Copic markers in E42, E44, E47, E49.

6. Stamp the sentiment onto Palm cardstock using Clear Embossing and Watermark Ink. Add White Detail Embossing Powder and heat emboss. Cut into a rectangle.

7. Adhere the image over the word “happy” using Precision glue. Add foam tape to the sentiment and image. Adhere to embossed panel.

8. Add three green matte sequins with Precision Glue. Add Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew over sequins and two more directly to the panel.

I hope you like the card and found the tutorial helpful. There will be a new challenge starting soon. In the meantime, visit the A Blog Named Hero Facebook Page for more inspiration. Thanks for visiting!
