When Your Layered Stamping Doesn’t Turn Out Like You Wanted

I was so excited to try the new HeroScapes from Hero Arts but as with anything new it didn’t turn out great. It wasn’t terrible, but I kept trying. I didn’t want to throw these first tries out so I found a way to turn them into cards.

I’ve included the links in the text to Scrapbook.com where these products are on sale. I will include the links directly to Hero Arts at the end of this post.

1. Stamp out the Lavender Field HeroScape. Ink blend the background with Pool Party Reactive Ink.

2. Die cut the Paper Layering Window Shutters die from white cardstock for the front panel. Tape the window back in place.

3. Hold the window panel over the stamped panel to decide where to stamp the smaller images, then stamp. Line up the sentiment and image. Stamp them on the window panel.

4. Adhere the window panel to the stamped panel with foam tape. Adhere to a top fold A2 card base.

This second card was made the same as above except the third largest circle from the Nesting Circles Infinity Dies was die cut from front panel. This HeroScape image turned out better than the first.

I wonder if I should have added the sentiment and butterflies to the front panel of this one. What do you think?

There are coordinating die for the Lavender Fields Heroscape but I do not own them.

I hope you found this short tutorial helpful and it encourages you to find creative ways to use your not so perfect images.

I hope you’ll follow my blog if you like it and thanks for visiting!
