Die Cut Layered Flowers Card

Hello! I recently started Altenew’s Craft-a-Flower monthly subscription plan. Each month I’ll receive dies to layer to create flowers and leaves. I’ve never done this before but I love it so far!

Some links below are affiliate links. At no additional cost to you, I will earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase.

Begin by running a 4” x 5 1/4” piece of white cardstock with the Honeycomb Stencil through a die cutting machine to dry emboss it. Splatter it with Black Ink Spray. Set it aside to dry.

Die cut the flowers and leaves from colored cardstock. I used Gina K Designs cardstock in Lovely Lavender, Wild Lilac, Plum Punch, Black Onyx, Jelly Bean Green, Fresh Asparagus and Grass Green. Adhere them together according to the instructions on the package.

Splatter assembled die cuts with Iridescent Shimmer Ink Spray. Allow to dry.

Die cut “Happy Birthday” from Bronze paper once and Plum Punch cardstock twice. Use liquid glue to stack these up for dimension.

Cut a piece of Plum Punch cardstock to 4 1/4” x 11”. Score and fold at 5 1/2”. Add foam adhesive to back of white panel and place on card base.

Add flowers and leaves with a strong adhesive. Add sentiment with liquid glue. Add Nuvo Drops in Copper Penny.

I used cardstock only this time since I’d never used these before. I would like to try ink blending or Copic coloring on white cardstock for more dimension next. I do love how this turned out though.

I’m so happy I subscribed to Craft-a-Flower from Altenew. Do you subscribe to any of their monthly products? Is there any other subscriptions you’d like to see me use every month?

I’d love to hear from you in the comments. And follow my blog if you like it.

Thanks for visiting!
