The October challenge for Papercraft Business Challenge is interactive. I wanted to do a fun card that I’d never done before. And this rocker card was so fun to make.

Stamp the bee, flowers and sentiment from the Unbeelievable 3×4 stamp set on white cardstock. Color the bee and flowers. I used Y11, Y15 and Y17 Copic markers for the bee . RV00, RV02 for the flowers. BG000 and BG11 for the wings. Die cut everything with the coordinating dies.
Die cut the largest circle from Hero Arts Nested Infinity Dies three times from white cardstock, once from the cloud paper, and once from Gina K Designs Jelly Bean Green cardstock. Die cut two grass layers from either side of the Gina K Designs Jelly Bean Green cardstock
Adhere the pattern paper to the one white circle. Pierce a hole in this piece at the center.
Cut a piece of thick packaging plastic into a 1/4” wide strip and adhere a penny to one end. Determine how far up the bee should be and cut the strip to that length. Pierce the halfway point of the plastic.
Attach the plastic strip to the circle with a mini brad secured loosely. Make sure the pierced holes are big enough that the brad moves freely.
Stamp the rest of the sentiment to the grass with Hero Arts Embossing and Watermark Ink. Add Hero Arts White Detail Embossing Powder and heat. Add the die cut word with foam tape.
Adhere the two grass pieces together. Use a triple layer of foam tape to add the grass to the circle, making sure to only add it to the outer edges so the penny moves freely.
Adhere the bee to the other end of the plastic with enough foam tape so that it doesn’t get caught on the grass. Adhere the flowers with foam tape.
Score one of the two remaining circles at about half an inch and fold. Adhere the portion above the score to the last circle. Use a double layer of foam tape to adhere the card front circle to this card base circle. Be sure to avoid the brad.
Add Nuvo Vintage Drops in Yellow Brick to the flowers. Apply Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen to the wings and clouds.
Stand card up, give it a gentle push and the bee should rock back and forth. This card will be bulky so I’d suggest putting it in a padded envelope to send it.

Do you make interactive cards? This one is a bit more advanced but there’s plenty of ways to make simpler interactive cards.
I hope you’ll make one and enter it into the Papercraft Business Challenge for October! You could win the stamp shown above.
