Hello Sunshine Stamped Background – Spellbinders Buzzworthy Collection

Hello! Today I’m sharing a card using stamps from Spellbinders new Buzzworthy Collection by Fun Stampers Journey. I love a bright, full and cheerful background design and this one fits that!

Some links below are affiliate links. At no additional cost to you, I will earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase.

Begin by arranging all of the small sun stamps from the Trip Around the Sun stamp set in a cluster in one corner of the 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” piece of Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock in a Misti Stamping Tool. Stamp with Hero Arts Butter Bar Mid-Tone Shadow Ink.

Apply Hero Arts Orange Soda Shadow Ink to a little under half and smooth out the ink edge with a sponge dauber. Apply Hero Arts Just Rust Mid-Tone Shadow Ink to a very small amount of the stamp and use dauber again. Stamp with the Butter Bar ink one more time to smooth everything out.

Repeat these steps moving the stamps to fill the entire background. Be careful not to leave any large gaps. I tend to stamp from top to bottom and top corner to bottom corner.

Stamp the faces with Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink. Use Copic markers to fill in the background with dots. I used 100, Y17, YR23, YR17. Add R01 for cheeks, placing white gel pen dots over it.

Mask off the word “sending” and stamp the sentiments with Embossing and Watermark Ink on Hero Arts Pitch Black Cardstock. Add Detail White Embossing Powder and heat. Cut into strips.

Adhere the strips with foam tape. I added mine to the bottom portion to hide a smudge on the card panel. Add panel to an A2 card base cut from Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock.

I love creating backgrounds from small stamps and this was no exception. And I love how the partial inking worked out to add interest to the images. Be sure to check out the rest of the products in the Buzzworthy Collection!

I have one more card to share from this collection soon. I hope you found this post helpful. Please leave any comments or questions you may have below.
