Hello! I’ve just completed the Celebrations Stencil Techniques Class for the Altenew Educator Certification Program level one. It was a short class and the instructor, Laurel Beard, did a great job of explaining the techniques.

I recently started getting the Mini Delight Monthly Subscription. It’s a small and oh so beautiful but I didn’t want to leave the background plain. I was inspired by Lessons 3 and 4 except I took a more clean and subtle approach.
Stamp the nine petals from the Precious Florette Mini Stamp & Die Set onto Neenah Classic Crest and die cut. I used the following mini cube sets:
- Enchanted Garden
- Sea Shore
- Pocketful of Sunshine
- Tea Party
- Green Meadows
- Blue Seas
- Cherry Blossom
- Red Cosmos
- Warm and Cozy
For the stenciled background, cut a piece of Gina K. Designs Whisper cardstock to 4” x 5 1/4”. Place the Linear Stencil over cardstock. Press Unicorn White Pigment Ink pad directly into cardstock. I used a lot of pressure to get as much ink as possible. Be careful if your ink pad is very juicy that it doesn’t get under stencil. The white will dry back a lot.
This results in a very subtle but elegant pattern in the background. When looking at it from some angles you can’t even see it but then you tip it just right and it looks so beautiful!
Die cut a circle from Neenah Classic Crest and stamp sentiment from Obsidian Pigment Ink. Arrange the petals around circle and adhere with foam tape to whisper background.
Adhere panel to white A2 card base with foam tape. Add a few sequins and shimmer pen to petals.
Do you enjoy using stencil? I love how inexpensive and versatile they are!
Thanks for visiting!
