Glitter and Sparkle Shaker Card – A Blog Named Hero

Hello! The new challenge at A Blog Named Hero is Glitter and Sparkle. As if I really need a reason to add glitter and sparkle to my cards but here’s a card for this theme!

Some links below are affiliate links. At no additional cost to you, I will earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase.

Stamp the rectangle background stamp from the November 2020 My Monthly Hero kit (unfortunately it sold out) onto white cardstock with the reactive ombré ink from the kit.

Cut a rectangle slightly smaller than the background from a 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” piece of Nautical cardstock.

Stamp snowflakes from the kit onto the Nautical cardstock with Embossing and Watermark Ink. Sprinkle on White Sparkle Embossing Powder from the October 2020 My Monthly Hero kit and heat set it.

Stamp the sentiment with Embossing and Watermark Ink. Sprinkle on White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set it.

Die cut the owl masking die from the November kit. Place the negative in the corner of the Misti Stamping Tool. Line up the stamp in the “hole” and pick up the stamp with the Misti door. Place the owl die cut in the hole and stamp in Embossing and Watermark Ink. Sprinkle on Silver Sparkle Embossing Powder and heat set it.

Place doubled up foam adhesive around edges of background stamp. Add snowflakes and stars from sequin pack in kit. Yes, I did remove each sequin tree from my shaker!

Adhere an acetate panel behind window with adhesive roll. Line window up with background stamp and adhere on top.

Add owl with foam tape. Add snow with white gel pen.
