We have a Christmas decoration that we made years ago. Probably got the idea from Pinterest. It’s a fish bowl half full of fake snow and a plastic carrot. On top of the bowl is a beautiful snowman top hat. It’s one of my favorite decorations. This stamp set reminds me of that.

When I saw the Big and Bold Frosty’s Hat stamp set, I knew immediately what I was going to do with it. Use code BF2CMJK to get this stamp and any other stamps and dies for 15% off through Monday at Colorado Craft Company.
I stamped the hat and holly on Neenah cardstock with Gina K Designs Amalgam ink in Obsidian. I colored the images with Copic markers.
I used NO, N2, N4, N6, N8, YG67, YG63, YG17, YG03, R89, R59, R39, R27, R24, R22. I certainly didn’t need all these colors but I tend to go overboard.
Before I cut it out, I stamped the hat band detail on the hat with Gina K Designs Amalgam ink in Obsidian.
I fussy cut the hat and the holly with Tim Holtz Mini Snips. I love these scissors!
I adhered the colored hat to the folded hat card base. I used foam adhesive to adhere the holly. To finish things off, I used shimmer pen on the hat band and Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard on the berries.
I traced the hat onto a folded piece of Gina K Designs Black Onyx cardstock. The top portion of the hat was slightly above the fold to keep it intact. I cut a piece of white cardstock to fit inside the card. I stamped the sentiment on that same black cardstock with Embossing and Watermark Ink, sprinkled it with White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set.
Maybe, when it’s easier to get dies, Colorado Craft Company will come out with dies for this set but it was quite simple and I would definitely do it again.
