Distress Ink Stamping

Hello! I am in love with rainbow Christmas cards this year and I’ve created this quick and easy slimline card to share just how much.

My card panel was cut to 3 1/2” x 8 1/2” from Neenah Solar White. I stamped the snowflakes from the Big and Bold Slimline Nordic Snowflakes stamp set using the Misti with Distress Inks Pads. I used a finger dauber to smooth the transition between colors.

I used the following Distress Inks: Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, Seedless Preserves

Next, I used Copic Markers in colors close to the Distress Inks plus Black 100 to add small dots throughout. The sentiment from the Savvy Sentiments Holiday Wishes was stamped with Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink. I added a shadow with C1 and C3 copic markers to help it stand out more.

I cut the panel down to be 1/16” smaller than the Black Onyx card base, which is 8 1/2” x 7”, scored and folded at 3”. After adhering the panel with adhesive tape, I added Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard to the centers of the snowflakes and randomly throughout.

Are you a fan of rainbow Christmas cards or do you prefer more traditional cards? I love both!

Did you see? Colorado Craft Company just added a bunch of dies for older Big and Bold sets! How exciting!
