Adhering Loose Glitter

Hello! There’s a few more days to submit your project for the glitter and sparkle challenge at A Blog Named Hero. Here’s a glittery card to inspire you!

Some links below are affiliate links. At no additional cost to you, I will earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase.

Add Stick It adhesive sheet to a piece of cardstock and die cut the ornament. The one I used is discontinued but Hero Arts has many ornament dies to choose from. Peel back the other backing paper. Shake on eco glitter from the December 2019 My Monthly Hero kit.

Using the backing paper and a bone folder, burnish the glitter into the adhesive. It might help more to run it through a die cut machine but make sure your plates are protected from all that glitter!

Cut Hero Hues Cranberry cardstock to 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”. Blend on Gina K Designs Cherry Red ink from edges, leaving a highlight in center. Add Hero Arts Cup O Joe ink, but don’t blend in as far. Repeat with Intense Black Ink blending even less.

Once panel is dry, cut it down to 4” x 5 1/4”. Stamp with Embossing and Watermark Ink, add White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. Adhere ornament with foam tape.

Loop thin white ribbon through top of ornament. Fold over back of panel and adhere. Tie a small bow with ribbon and adhere with liquid glue. Add panel to white A2 card base.

Head over to the A Blog Named Hero Facebook Page for more inspiration. Don’t forget to enter your project by December 10 for a chance at a Hero Arts gift certificate.
