How to Ink Blend Die Cut Words

Hello and Happy New Year! I’m starting the year out with some simple cards and new to me products. For this card, I got to try out my new ink pads.

1. Die cut “Hope” from the December 2020 My Monthly Hero kit 4 times from white cardstock. Leave both pieces of the die attached so all the die cuts line up.

2. Blend ink on one die cut word. Using a blender brush, blend on Coral Reef ink from Pinkfresh studios at far left.

3. Switch to Peach Fuzz ink and blend until just inside the “O”. Make sure to overlap a bit with the first color.

4. Blend Lemon Whip ink over the “O” overlapping with the previous color.

5. Return to the Peach Fuzz ink ink then Coral Reef ink to finish.

6. Set aside to dry. The colors will even out. I loved how well they worked together.

7. On an A2 card base, decide where the “O” will land. Blend on Lemon Whip ink from that spot out just past the letter for a glowing effect.

8. Using liquid glue, adhere all four die cuts together.

9. Place die cut on card base and line up sentiment stamp placement. Stamp sentiment in Apricot ink.

10. Adhere die cut with liquid glue.

11. Add small heart embellishment in center of “O”.

Quite a simple card, but I love how it turned out. And my first time using Pinkfresh Studio inks was a great success!

What a beautiful My Monthly Hero kit from Hero Arts! It sold out quickly that’s why I subscribe. I can’t stand to miss one of their amazing kits! A new one goes live today and the sneak peeks are gorgeous!
