Hello! Scrapbook.com recently sent me their new Slimline Neenah Solar White Ultra Thick card & envelope set. There’s ten 8 1/2” x 7” pieces of Neenah Solar White in 110lb, scored and folded at 3 1/2”. There’s also ten coordinating envelopes. I make a lot of cards and the one thing I’m guilty of is rarely putting my cards on card bases until I need to use them.

I admit I’m lazy. I don’t take the time to cut the card base or get an envelope out. So, having this pack with the card base and envelope ready to go was wonderful. I even decorated the envelopes!

This post is heavy on photos and low on words. The technique was basically the same for both cards and envelopes with some minor changes I’ll mention along the way.

Both cards use the Slimline Ultra Thick cards and envelopes. the Slimline Flat Card Front, Pinkfresh Studios Ink, the Thinking of You Sentiments die set and the Cards For Kindness Mini stamp set. I also used Mint Tape to hold the stencils in place.

This card uses the Diamond Plaid stencil from Pinkfresh Studios. It’s not big enough for a slimline card. I used Seaside ink on one half but didn’t go all the way to the inner edge. I moved it to line up at the other end and used Candy Violet ink blending with the Seaside in the center.

I added splatter with both colors and Metallic Frost Reinker.

The sentiment was die cut three times and adhered with liquid glue. I then added white hearts with liquid glue between each word.

I cut the panel to 3” x 8” and mounted it with foam tape.

For this card, I used the Sunny Days Ahead 6 x 8 Stencil and ink cubes from Pinkfresh Studios. I blended on the Rise and Shine set first then moved the stencil to cover that and blended on the Indian Summer set.

Splatter the darkest inks and Metallic Gold Reinker.

I die cut the words three times. I the adhered with liquid glue. I added Catherine Pooler Mystic Sequins with liquid glue.

I cut panel to 3” x 8” and adhered with foam tape to card base.

The backs of the cards are stamped with two stamps from the Cards For Kindness Mini stamp set and my personal stamp which was a gift from Altenew.

The envelope fronts use the coordinating stencils and are blended from the bottom left corner to fade out.

The envelope fronts were stamped in the coordinating colors from the Cards For Kindness Mini stamp set.

While Cards for Kindness prefers A2 cards, slimline cards are fine to send. I chose not to add a sentiment to the inside of the cards.

I love the way these cards turned out. The convenience of having everything precut really allowed me to focus on creating beautiful cards.
