Hello! It’s time for this months card using the the Altenew’s Mini Delight subscription stamp and die. This month it’s the Mini Delight Poppy Stamp and Die Set. I’ll tell you how I added depth to a solid stamp.
1. Stamp poppy with Coral Berry ink.
2. Using Ruby Red ink, gently roll it on the bottom portion of the flower. Don’t cover the entire stamp.
3. Before stamping, apply the Coral Berry ink again lightly to blend the colors. Alternately, you could use a baby wipe to smooth the edges of the ink.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 with Grapevine ink
5. Stamp leaf with Just Green ink
6. Repeat steps 2 and 3 with Hunter Green ink.
7. Die cut images.
8. On a 4” x 5 1/4” piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, stamp sentiment from the Build a Flower Begonia Stamp and Die Set in Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink.
9. Stamp stem from the Build a Flower Fuchsia Layering Stamp and Die Set in Hunter Green ink. To make stem longer, make sure it’s clean and place stamp at the bottom of the stamped stem. Line up the curve and only apply ink to make it as long as you wish.
10. Add flower and leaf with foam tape.
11. Add black splatter. I used a Copic 100 marker to control the splatter but Black Ink Spray would also work.
12. Mount panel to a white A2 card base with foam tape.
This card is clean and simple and very easy to mass produce. Keeping the background white with a tiny bit of black keeps the focus on this beautiful, simple flower. You might want to check out Altenew’s Mini Delight subscription for yourself. I’m still loving it!
