Hello! Sometimes I just want to keep creating but I’m just feel uninspired. One of my favorite ways to deal with this is to use rainbow colors. Another is to keep things simple. Usually, somewhere along the way, my creativity comes back! Here’s how I used these techniques to create this card.
This tutorial was previously posted on the Create and Inspire blog but has been updated to share here. The wreath die is no longer available at Hero Arts but can be found on Amazon.
1. Die cut four wreath dies from Hero Arts Bird Branches Fancy Die from white cardstock. Be smarter than me and keep the dies connected or tape them together really well. Mine did not line up well at all
2. Blend a rainbow of inks on one of the die cuts with blender brushes for a soft look. I’ve listed the colors I used below but use whatever you have.
Pinkfresh Studios Ink: Passion Fruit, Sunshine, Sparkling Rose, Grassy Knoll, Apricot, Summer Shower, Aquamarine, Lavender
3. Glue die cuts together with liquid glue and adhere to white A2 card base.
4. Stamp the sentiment from the December 2020 Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Kit with embossing ink. Add white embossing powder and heat set. I split the longer part on two lines by covering part with mint tape.
5. Die cut sentiment with a Hero Arts Circle Infinity Die and adhere with foam tape in center of wreath.
6. Add small and large stars with liquid glue. I have no source for these. I’ve collected them from kit subscriptions. You could use just regular sequins here as well.
I love the simplicity of the rainbow against the white background. The black circle really makes everything stand out as well. What do you do to keep creating when uninspired? I’d love to hear in the comments!
