Hello! I love to make shaped cards. A Blog Named Hero’s May challenge is to create a shaped card. I don’t make them often enough so I created two for this post! The instructions for both are basically the same.
- Place the fancy die inside largest Circle Infinity Die on White cardstock and die cut at the same time. I used the Soft Window Landscape Fancy die and Book Window Fancy die today.
2. Cut two circles from white cardstock from the largest of the Circle Infinity Dies. Score one about 1/4” from edge. Do not adhere them together yet.
3. Color the fancy die cuts using Copic markers. I used a lot of different colors. If you want to know a particular color please leave me a comment.
4. Ink blend onto the top card base to fill in the die cut opening. I used Pool Party and Blue Raspberry Reactive Inks. Allow to dry. Alternatively, you could cut a piece of cardstock to fit behind opening and adhere to card base. I used Hero Hues Nautical cardstock for the book card.
5. Stamp the sentiment with Embossing and Watermark Ink. Sprinkle on White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. I used sentiments from Handwritten Messages and Literally the Best stamp sets.
To make sure it’s centered, place front die cut on top of circle die cut. Put stamp in center then pick it up with a stamp positioning tool. Remove colored die cut and stamp
6. Adhere front and back card bases together above the score line.
7. Add the front die cut circle panel to the card base with foam tape.
8. Add white gel pen highlights.
These cards were so fun to make. I love coloring the different parts of the die cuts and making them circle cards just made them cuter. Be sure to enter your shaped card in the A Blog Named Hero May Challenge before May 26 for a chance to win a gift card to Hero Arts! Follow the A Blog Named Hero Facebook Page for more inspiration.
Thanks for visiting!
Both cards are fantastic! 😍
Thank you so much!
