Hello! I had so much fun with these new Delightful Darlings Collection from Spellbinders. I combined them with two different backgrounds taught in classes by Sandy Allnock of art-classes.com. Though they are far from perfect, I just love how the backgrounds turned out and how they fit the stamps so well!

1. Stamp image from the Darling Hello Clear Stamp Set on Neenah Solar White cardstock with Gina K Designs Amalgam ink in Obsidian. To determine the best placement I enlarged the photo of the background on my iPad to A2 size then laid the stamps over it.

Stamp on masking paper, cut out and place masks over the images.

2. Draw and color the background following instructions in the Mini Copic Storybook Scenes class by Sandy Allnock. I used the following Copic markers (this list includes the markers used for stamped images too:

YG03, YG17, YG67, BG96, BG99, R05, YR12, Y15, Y17, RV00, RV02, BV01, BV04, V01, V06, B32, B34, B41, E00, E11, E13, E53, E55, E57, E59, N0, N2, N4, 100, 0

3. Remove masks and color images. See list above for colors. Some marker bled under the masks so I used the colorless blender to fix things.

I used the masks to continue drawing the background so it lined up but maybe it wasn’t the best idea.

4. Add butterfly trails and dots with a white gel pen.

5. Stamp sentiments with Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink.

6. Adhere panel to a white A2 card base with double sided adhesive tape.

1. Use the bedroom scene from Sandy Allnock’s Copic Blueprints Interior Scenes class to draw out the background on Neenah Solar White cardstock.

I outlined everything in pencil then stamped the images.

2. Stamp images from Darling Hugs Clear Stamp Set with Gina K Amalgam ink in Obsidian. Erase pencil lines.

3. Follow class instructions to draw bedroom scene.

The pink striped walls were inspired by my daughter’s bedroom walls when we lived in NY. My husband painted them himself.

4. Color the stamped images. I used the following Copic markers for the stamped images and background of the card:

N0, N2, N4, RV52, BG000, BG11, BG15, Y11, Y15, Y17, V06, V09, V12, E00, E11, E13, E44, E47, E49, E53, E55, E57

5. Stamp the sentiment with Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink.

6. Adhere panel to a white A2 card base with double sided adhesive tape.

7. Add detail with a white gel pen.

I absolutely loved making these cards! I admit, they were not quick cards to make and some parts look awful, it was so worth it! Head over to Spellbinders to check out the entire Delightful Darlings Collection.
