Hello! I’ve got one more card to share for the A Blog Named Hero’s May Challenge, “Shaped”. The challenge has ended and a new one starts June 1. Today’s shaped card is a little different but I hope you like it!
1. Die cut two pieces of Neenah Solar White cardstock using the Slimline & Bookmarks Infinity Dies.
2. Line up each cloud die from Cloudy Sky Scene Fancy Die set along each slimline panel and die cut them. You’ll want them to overlap but both panels should be mostly visible.
3. Line up the seven largest Circle Infinity Dies and tape them together. Use them to die cut a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock.
4. Ink blend each of the circles with Hero Arts Reactive Inks. I used Fruit Punch, Creamsicle, Lemon Drop, Green Apple, Splash, Grape Slush. Alternatively, die cut the circles from colored cardstock.
5. Adhere circles together onto a piece of printer paper with liquid glue and cut off the excess. Cut the piece in half to form a rainbow.
6. Stamp the sentiment from the You Lift Me Up stamp set on the the back cloud with Splash Reactive Ink.
7. Stamp the clouds and balloon from the You Lift Me Up stamp set. I stamped with inks from November 2020 My Monthly Hero kit and March 2021 My Monthly Hero kit. Die cut with coordinating dies. I don’t have the dies so I fussy cut them.
8. Adhere the rainbow behind the back cloud panel.
9. Cut a piece of White cardstock to 1” x 3 1/2”. Score and fold at 1/2”. Adhere to back of front cloud panel and back of back cloud panel.
10. Add clouds with foam squares and balloon with liquid glue.
11. Add small heart to front cloud panel.
12. I felt my card was too floppy in the center so I added a piece of transparency sheet cut to 3 1/2” x 8 1/2”.
If you wanted to hide the glue showing on the back of the card, cut a second panel identical to the back panel. Adhere it so the transparency is sandwiched between them. You could also cut the first and seventh circle at the same time from white cardstock to back the rainbow as well.
This was such a fun shaped card to make! Remember, a new challenge starts on June 1. In the meantime, head over to the A Blog Named Hero Facebook Page for more inspiration.
I’d love it if you’d subscribe to my blog. Thanks for visiting!
