Hello! There’s a new release at SpellbindersBeautiful Sentiment Vignettes from Becca Feeken. There’s a collection of beautiful dies and today I’m sharing one for this birthday card.

1 Die cut the largest Hemstitch Slimline Rectangle from white cardstock. Die cut the smallest Hemstitch Slimline Rectangle along with the Hemstitch die from white cardstock.

2. Hot foil the Skinny Stripe Background Glimmer Plate on the largest slimline panel and the sentiment from Mini Everyday Sentiments Glimmer Plate on a scrap of white cardstock at an angle using Aura Hot Foil. Die cut sentiment.

3. Add Curious Metallics Gold Leaf cardstock behind the Hemstitch detailing place on large slimline panel with foam tape.

4. Die cut Birthday and Wishes from white cardstock and Curious Metallic Gold Leaf cardstock once each. Glue them together with Bearly Arts Precision glue. The metal tip makes it easy to add just the right amount of glue. Spellbinders no longer has the dies I used but you could use the Simply Perfect Mix and Match Sentiments instead.

5. Die cut the pieces from the Petit Floral Potpourri from multiple colors of Pop-Tone Card Stock. The individual colors are listed below. After die cutting I ran the flowers through a second time with the embossing pad to accentuate the embossed detail on them.

6. Using Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool Kit, curl the flower with the medium embossing tip and foam mat on the back of the petals. Press the same tip into the center of the flowers to further shape them.

7. Arrange the flowers and leaves at either end of the small panel and glue in place with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.

8. Adhere the die cut sentiment between the flowers with Bearly Arts Precision Glue. Add the foiled sentiment below the small panel with foam tape.

9. Add white flat back pearls to flower centers and a few randomly throughout panel.

10. Adhere panel to a slimline card base.

I admit, die cutting the flowers, embossing and shaping them took some time but I think it was worth it. I have so many flowers left, I can use them for future projects as well. I did not cut the leaves that hang off the card yet. The envelopes I use for slimline cards have a little extra space so I’m hoping I can leave the leaves as is.

There’s many more dies in the Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes Collection to check out. I’ve listed them all below.
