Hello! How do you add color to the openings in die cut backgrounds? Do you die cut the background multiple times from colored cardstock and inlay it all? Do you color the pieces with ink? Do you add scrap pieces of paper behind the openings? Personally, I usually do the first, but today, I’m doing the last option.
- Cut the Border Bling Flower Frame Die from a piece of Pop-Tone Cardstock in Sweet Tooth measuring 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”.
- Use scraps of Pop-Tone Cardstock to place behind the flowers and leaves. I used tape runner to adhere the scraps then cut off any excess to prevent cardstock from showing in a different opening. I used these colors of Pop-Tone Cardstock: Cotton Candy, SnoCone, Orange Fizz, Lemon Drop and Sour Apple.
- Stamp the sentiment from Just Sentiments Wish You Were Here Mini Stamp Set on the top center of Sweet Tooth panel with Pinkfresh Studio Storm Ink.
4. Add Foam tape to the back of the panel and adhere to an A2 Basis White Card Base.
5. Add flat back pearls in a coordinating color to the Pop-Tone Cardstock used.
6. Stamp and die cut the bird from Feathered Friends Mini 12 Mini Stamp Set. I used the following Pinkfresh Studio Inks: Sky Blue, Summer Shower, Seaside, Espresso
7. Die cut two extra blank bird dies and adhere all three together.
Layering scraps behind the die cut panel made this card so quick and easy. I love the color of the Pop-Tone Cardstock against the white Sweet Tooth. Don’t forget to check out the Pop-Tone Cardstock on sale through June 30th.
