Hello! I had a great time playing with this Kaleidoscope Argyle Slimline die from Spellbinders. Traditionally, I think this card would make a great masculine card. Personally, though, the men in my family love cutesy, interactive cards. Some men don’t and I think this is great for them.
1. Use the Kaleidoscope Argyle Slimline die to cut the diamond shapes 8 times from Silk Glitter Opulent Opal cardstock for the bottom layer, next Hero Hues Cranberry Cardstock, then Hero Hues Cherry Cardstock and finally a red shimmer cardstock for the top. Assemble with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.
2. Cut a piece of Nautical cardstock to 3” x 8”
3. Die cut the crosshatch piece twice each from white cardstock and Curious Metallic Gold Leaf cardstock.
4. Use a ruler or lines on a grid mat to line up the cross hatch correctly. Adhere the white pieces first with the center circles overlapping.
5. Add diamonds starting with the center pieces that will remain solid.
6. Cut the remaining diamonds in half. I used scissors but a strong paper cutter may work. Adhere to the remaining open areas.
7. Add Curious Metallic Gold Leaf cardstock crosshatch over white pieces.
8. Apply Nuvo Glitter Drops in Golden Sunset over the circles where the lines cross. You could instead use the circle dies included with the set.
9. Hot foil a sentiment from Mini Christmas Sentiment Strips Glimmer Plate with Polished Brass Hot Foil Roll and attach with foam adhesive.
This is a fun die set. I love all the layers used for every diamond. As I said before, this is a great masculine card but there are so many color possibilities with this set. I can wait to explore more!
Thanks for visiting!
