Hello and Happy Stamptember! I can’t wait to share with you what I’ve created with the amazing products Simon Says Stamp sent me. Today, I’m sharing this clean and simple card using new products from Simon Says Stamp.
1. Emboss a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock cut to 4” x 5 1/4” with Circle Rings Embossing Folder. Adhere to an A2 card base with foam tape.
2. Die cut the Etched Crocus Stems Die from Neenah Solar White cardstock three times.
3. Color one set of die cuts using Copic markers. I used V000, V12, V15, YG00, YG03, YG17
4. Adhere the die cut layers with Bearly Arts Precision Glue. Then add to card with the same glue.
5. Die cut the Bold Hello Die from Smoke Gray Cardstock three times and adhere together with liquid glue.
6. Adhere word die to card. I placed it so it would hide where the two stems overlap. To make it lay flat, I added tiny pieces of thin foam squares at each end.
7. Add Clear Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen over the flower and the sentiment die cut.
Instead of cutting the flowers from white cardstock you could instead cut them from a purple and a green. Then just cut the purple flower off and layer over the green stem. You could also color the die cuts with ink instead of marker.
I initially planned to ink blend on the embossed piece but I wasn’t happy with it. I love the contrast of the brights flowers over the white cardstock. The embossing still shows up so well.
