Hello! I’ve seen many people over the last few years stitching on cards. I’d never tried it until I used these two new Merry Stitchmas Dies from Spellbinders. I understood immediately the appeal of it. It was something to do while I was waiting for my phone to backup to the computer.

The embroidery floss and needles were from my stash. You can get floss from Spellbinders.

1. Die cut the Sparkling Mandala Dies from Neenah Solar White Cardstock.

2. Choose 4 different blue embroidery floss colors. Use 3 strands to stitch each section a different blue shade. There are lines to guide you where to stitch.

I taped the floss in place on the back to start stitching and tied it off to end each section.

3. Cut two solid mandalas from Arctic cardstock. Use thin foam squares to attach the stitched piece to a solid piece.

4. Stamp the sentiment from Christmas Time Sentiments stamp set in Soft Navy Ink on the second solid piece.

5. Adhere a piece of ribbon between the two solid pieces. Adhere the two pieces together with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.

6. Die cut the tag from the Shopping Bags die set and attach to the ribbon with a bit of floss.

7. Adhere white flat back pearls with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.

1. Die cut both pieces together of the Circular Stitch Background die from Neenah Solar White Cardstock.

2. Stitch each row in rainbow colors using 3 strands of embroidery floss.

3. Adhere the stitched panel to an A2 card base. I used liquid glue along the edges and on each stitched section.

4. Add Rainbow Droplets in the colors of the stitching to their centers with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.

5. Die cut the sentiment from the September 2021 Small Die of the Month set from Pitch Black Cardstock four times and the shadow from vellum once.

6. Adhere the pieces together and to the vellum. Place in center of card.

I look forward to making more of these. The Mandala does not need to be a snowflake like I made it. It can look totally different depending on how it’s stitched and what colors are used. The background die also has so many possibilities.
