Congratulations to Colorado Craft Company on the first anniversary of Anita Jeram stamps and dies! Iām so honored to have been a part of creating with these products from the start.
Their new release is called Catch a Falling Star. It includes three 6ā x 6ā stamp sets plus coordinating dies and one mini stamp set with coordinating dies as well. The mice included in the larger sets are huge and so adorable. You can get the new release bundle for a 5% savings!
For my first project using these stamps and dies, Iāve created what Iām calling a sensory picture. The die cuts are raised to varying heights. There is texture and shine from the glitter glue on the stars. The white drops throughout also add texture, plus they glow in the dark!
1. Stamp the mouse from Twinkle Little Star twice and the stars from all three sets once each with Intense Black Ink on Neenah Solar White Cardstock.
2. Color the images with Copic markers. Color the mouse from one stamped image and the star from the other. I used the following: E50, E53, E55, E57, E59, Y000, Y02, Y08, R00. Die cut with coordinating dies.
The markers are linked below.
3. Cut the uncolored star, tail and whiskers off the colored mouse. Leave the image with the colored star full size.
4. Die cut the mouse twice more and cut away the star. Adhere these two together with the other mouse using liquid glue.
5. Die cut the full mouse and star die three more times and adhere together with the stamped star.
6. Adhere the stamped and colored mouse die cut stack over the stamped and colored star die cut stack.
7. Die cut extra stars a varying amount of times. The largest star was die cut three extra times. The medium star was cut two extra times and the littlest stars were cut one or no extra times. Adhere together with liquid glue.
8. Cut a piece of Canson XL Watercolor Paper to the size of the frame. Mine is cut to 8 1/2ā x 11ā. Stamp the sentiment in Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide Ink.
9. Discard glass from frame and place watercolor paper inside.
10. Add mouse and stars with liquid glue.
11. Add Nuvo Drops in White Blizzard to the stars and Ebony Black to the mouseās eye.
12. I used a glow in the dark lacquer pen to add drops throughout the picture. There are a variety of products available to create the glow in the dark effect.
I know the directions are a little difficult to follow but I think the close up photos can help. Also, it isnāt necessary to take all the extra steps I did. Do what you are comfortable with.
