Hello! Simon Says Stamp is releasing new Rainbow Mini Set of 6 Glitz Glitter Gels as part of their Handmade Holiday release! I got to play with them for this card I’m sharing today and I just love them! I’m also using one of the new stencils paired with some older items.

1. On a piece of Hero Hues Pebble cardstock cut to 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”, stamp the Clean Line Trees cling stamp with Unicorn White Pigment Ink.

2. Center the Christmas Wreath Stencil on the stamped panel. Apply Parsley and Cranberry inks. I masked off the leaves to color the poinsettia and the poinsettia to color the leaves.

I would advise adding Pixie Spray to the back of the stencil. This would be especially important if you plan to add the glitter gel but will still make the stencil image crisper on your cardstock. Some of the leaf lines are very delicate.

3. Add Glitz Glitter Gel to the leaves and the poinsettias and berries. I added one color, removed the stencil, cleaned it and let the panel dry. Then I applied the next color.

4. Stamp the sentiment from XL Christmas Greetings with Embossing Ink on Pitch Black cardstock. Add Fine Detail White Embossing Powder and heat set. Die cut with a circle die. Add to the center of wreath with foam tape.

5. Add gold sequins and tiny stars throughout panel with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.

6. Adhere panel to an A2 card base with adhesive tape.

You probably wouldn’t need to add ink before adding the glitter gel but there are some places where I have no glitter gel and the ink still shows the image detail. instead of centering the panel you could move it to one side or the other. You could also move it to the corner and add multiple portions of the wreath all over the panel. You could mask off portions of the stencil and only add a flower or two.

I have a rather untraditional Christmas card coming in a few days. In the meantime, check out the entire new Handmade Holiday from Simon Says Stamp!
