Hello! Today I’m sharing a card featuring products from Simon Says Stamp’s DieCember release. The vellum really helped bring this card to life. It gave things a soft, feminine feel and brought more texture to the card.

1. Run the Blossom Field Embossing Folder through die cutting machine. I used the cardboard from the packaging as a shim in my Platinum 6 machine. This was a suggestion from a recent Nichol Spohr video.

2. Die cut the Stitching Sunflower outline die from Neenah Solar White cardstock twice. Die cut the outline and detail dies from vellum twice.

3. Add Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks to the flower. I used Cheeky, Blush and Pucker for one flower and Peachy, Grapefruit and Mandarin for the other.

4. Die cut the It’s Your Birthday sentiment die twice from white cardstock and once from white glitter paper. Cut the shadow from Slate Gray cardstock. Adhere pieces together with liquid glue.

5. Adhere the flowers to the embossed background. Adhere vellum flowers over inked ones. Add liquid glue only to the center of the flower. Hide the glue by Iridescent Clear Jewels over the glued areas. Cut off any overhang.

6. Add sentiment to the card panel. I used liquid glue on the areas overlapping the flowers and thin foam squares on the rest.

7. Adhere the panel to an A2 card base. Add a few jewels throughout the card.

The flower dies are so beautiful. That embossing folder is a new favorite. I seem to be collecting them all right now. I used gray for the shadow because I wanted to make the sentiment stand out but keep things soft like the rest of the card.
