Hello! I’ve got another fun project using a new die from Simon Says Stamp’s DIECember release. I wanted to do something different than I normally do and I love how it turned out.
Unfortunately, the sentiment had to be changed and I couldn’t pull it off so I added this one over it.
1. Cut a rainbow of cardstock to approximately 1/4” and long enough to cover the card base at an angle. I used a variety of Hero Arts cardstocks.
2. Add a piece of Stick It Adhesive to a piece of printer paper cut slightly larger than 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”.
3. Remove backer from panel. Place strips in rainbow order at a diagonal on the panel. I only removed a small amount of the backer at a time to keep my hands and things out of the sticky.
4. Die cut the Imperia Plate Wafer Die over the striped panel. Cut the panel down to 4” x 5 1/4”.
5. Add the panel to an A2 Top Fold Card Base with foam tape.
6. Stamp the sentiment from XL Christmas Greetings stamp set with Embossing and Watermark Ink on Pitch Black cardstock. Add Detail White Embossing Powder and heat set.
7. Cut sentiment panel down and adhere to panel with foam tape. I added white gel pen stitching to make it more finished.
8. Add Iridescent Clear Jewels diagonally across panel with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.
I absolutely love the way the background die looks against the striped background. Of course, this card doesn’t not have to be holiday related but I always think a rainbow Christmas card is fun! When I cut the panel down, a few edge pieces came off. I was able to glue them back on.
I’d love it if you’d subscribe. Thanks for visiting!
