Hello! Today I’m sharing cards created with the new Garden Shutters Collection from Becca Feeken. There are two amazing interactive sets that I had so much fun making.

I can’t promise that I put these together correctly but they work. For best results, follow the instructions from Spellbinders found on the product page. I won’t be including assembly instructions here but feel free to ask about anything!

Because of the pull tabs I added these cards will not fit in standard A2 or A7 envelopes.

I cut the three panels from Hero Hues Adriatic cardstock using the Daisy Delight Garden Shutter A2 Base. On the top panel, after I had already cut out the center, I added Blooming Floral Background Glimmer Plate using Prism Hot Foil Roll. I flipped the plate 180° and foiled it again.

I added the Design Rectangle Insert die cut from metallic cardstock on the flaps. I placed small blue jewels on the points throughout. Jewels were also added to the flower centers in the hot foiling as well.

The daisys were cut twice from white cardstock and colored with Copic marker. I used Y000, Y11, Y15, Y17, YG17, YG13, YR27.

The flowers were adhered to card with Bearly Arts Precision Glue. I added Nuvo Glitter Drops in White blizzard to the flower centers after glueing the pieces together.

I die cut the sentiment from two layers of white cardstock, stacked and adhered them to the base inside. The outside is very busy so I chose to keep the inside clean and simple.

To help open the shudders, I die cut the pull tab die included with the Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutters 5 x 7″ Card Base set twice. One die cut was adhered behind the top of the top layer panel. The second was adhered to the back of the bottom layer.

I cut the first two panels according to the instructions for the Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutters 5 x 7″ Card Base set from white cardstock. The third was cut from the Scallop Facade Frame die set. I then cut the center from it.

The panels were all inked with the Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Ink Trio 2. I used the darkest on the bottom layer and the lightest on the top layer. Make sure to ink the middle layer on both sides since they will be visible.

The butterflies were die cut from white cardstock and inked with the Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Ink Trio 1, Trio 4, Trio 5. I then added a very small amount of Glitz Glitter Gel to edges of the wings. I adhered the centers to the card but left the wings folded up a bit.

Instead of adding more butterflies, I hot foiled the flowers from the Diamond Floral Frame Glimmer Set twice with the Aura Hot Foil Roll, colored them with Copic markers and adhered them around the butterflies.

I added a white panel to the inside of each flap and adhered the words to each. The words were colored using the same inks as the butterflies.

I added the pull tabs the same way as above and finished the card off with white pearls in each corner. They also serve to hide small gaps in the front panel.

Aren’t these shutter cards fun? I love that there are so many ways to dress these up like I did or keep them more clean and simple and these are still so interesting.
