Happy New Year! I’m starting out the year with a clean and simple card for you using the January 2022 Large Die of the Month from Spellbinders. The complete die set makes a pocket out of which the recipient can pull a valentine but I’ll be using just the heart die to create a clean and simple card.
1. Center the decorative heart die towards the top part of a piece of white cardstock cut to 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” and tape in place. Be sure not to use the outline die since this will cut the heart away from the panel.
2. Cut the panel down to 3 3/4” x 5”. I prefer to do this after cutting out the decorative heart so I can even things out if I need to.
3. Adhere a slightly smaller piece of Hero Hues Paradise Cardstock behind the panel. I used Bearly Arts Precision Glue for a strong hold.
4. Die cut the tiny flowers die from Hero Hues Peony Cardstock.
5. Cut the decorative heart again from a scrap of Hero Hues Cranberry Cardstock. Cut off and save just the flowers.

6. Adhere the red flower behind the pink one and cut off any overhang.
7. Adhere the pink flower to the panel.
8. Hot foil a sentiment from the January 2022 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month with Red Hot Foil Roll and Peony Cardstock. Adhere over decorative heart with a foam strip.
9. Adhere panel to a Top Fold A2 card base with foam tape.
10. Add red gems along the vines with liquid glue.

I can’t wait to try using the January 2022 Large Die of the Month pocket dies but I love that I’m not limited to it. There are many ways to use this kit. You can incorporate all the decorative dies for a fancy pocket or some, or none at all. It’s up to you!
I hope your year is off to a great start! Thanks for visiting!
Awesome card, love the color combo too
Thank you Sandi!
