Hello! The January Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month from Spellbinders is packed with great plates and dies. I used almost all of them on this one card. It pairs up beautifully, of course, with the new January Embossing Folder as well.
1. Hot foil both hearts with Red Hot Foil Roll from the January kit out of Hammermill cardstock and die cut.
2. Die cut the heart twice from red metallic cardstock.
3. Die cut the floral pieces four times from white cardstock.
4. Color the flowers with R39, R37, R35, R32, E49, E47 Copic markers.
5. Color the stems and leaves with YG13, YG17, YG67
6. Emboss white cardstock cut to 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” with the January Embossing Folder and place on an A2 card base.
7. Adhere the metallic heart and foiled hearts offset slightly with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.
8. Add both hearts overlapping to the embossed panel with thin foam squares.
9. Arrange floral die cuts around hearts. Adhere stems with liquid glue and most of the flowers with thin foam squares. The flowers tucked under in spots were adhered with liquid glue.
10. Add glossy accents to flower centers.
I attempted to keep the die cuts colored very softly but changed my mind and simply colored over everything. I prefer bold colors most of the time anyway. I always love how quick hot foiling makes cardmaking. It means adding so many die cuts isn’t as time consuming.
Remember, the January kits from Spellbinders will be available until the 24th of January so don’t wait too long to subscribe.
Thanks for visiting!
