Hello! I think the Open House collection is terrific and the new Open House Spring Dies are so adorable. I attempted to go with pastels but wasn’t happy. I love how the rainbows turned out, though.

I used of colored cardstock, you could instead color white die cuts with ink, markers or watercolor. I love to do all these but I didn’t feel like adding color myself today.

The dies from from the Open House dies set and the Open House Spring Die set were all cut from scraps of various cardstock from either Gina K Designs, Simon Says Stamp or Hero Arts. I assembled the larger pieces first, working down to smallest ones. Everything was adhered together with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.

Die cut the largest die from Precision Layering Mini Slimline A Etched Dies out of white cardstock and run through Platinum 6 machine with Simply Perfect Florets Embossing Folder. Since I was using the one designed for an A2 card, I repositioned the folder and embossed it again. Not much is showing so it’s not noticeable!

Add the door with foam tape. To make the flower more stable, I first die cut the petals from white cardstock and then cut them from each rainbow color. When adding the flower to the top of the door, I added foam tape for support where needed and liquid glue to the petals that lay flat and the ones that overhang the door header.

The bunny and balloon were added with thin foam squares. I added Glossy Accents to the balloon and bunny’s nose plus white Nuvo Drops to the flower centers.

I added the card to a mini slimline card base that measures 6 1/2” x 6 1/4” scored and folded at 3 1/2” with a Bearly Arts Precision Glue.

I love the interest the embossing on the card panel adds. This card came together quickly once I settled on the rainbow colors.
