Hello! I’m really excited to share these two new Be Bold Color Block cards today! I love how they turned out. The process was basically the same for both cards. Any differences will be noted below.

1. Cut a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock in half lengthwise. Mark on the cardstock the corners of the die. I used the Be Bold Color Block Happy Birthday and Congrats Etched Dies.

2. Cut a rainbow of cardstock into 1/8” x 11” strips. I used Gina K Designs cardstock.

3. Adhere the cardstock strips at an angle across the marked cardstock. There’s a variety of adhesives you could use. I used tape runner. Bearly Arts Precision Glue or adhesive tape are also options.

4. Line up the die and run it through the Platinum 6 or Platinum die cutting machine. The large slimline dies don’t fit well on the Platinum 6 (for me anyway) so I put it through twice adjusting the part on the cutting plates.

5. Die cut the words four more times from Neenah Solar White cardstock and adhere together with liquid glue with the striped letters on top.

6. Adhere the letters to a card base.

7. Die cut the small word from gray cardstock three times and glue together. Add Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard. I didn’t realize it was going to make the words look green but I think they still look good.

See that tiny piece of pink cardstock on the G? That’s why it’s important to adhere every bit of the cardstock so those tiny pieces don’t fall off!

I love how striking these clean and simple cards are. They were very easy to put together and the layers of cardstock make the letters really stand out. I look forward to more Be Bold Color Block releases!
