Hello! Hero Arts February My Monthly Hero kit and add ons are now available. You should have arrived here from Seeka’s blog if you’re following along with the blog hop. What a unique and fun kit Hero Arts has given us this month! We are only limited by our imaginations.
Be sure to read to the bottom for GIVEAWAY details!
Our February My Monthly Hero release was inspired by the art of the Surrealist masters and the magical imagery of dreams. Let your imagination soar with the playful drawings as you arrange your own creative scenes. There are nine different messages to include on your card or project, and the kit is rounded out with black watercolor paper, a water brush, and a custom Daniel Smith watercolor paint palette.
Kit Contents:
- 6” x 8” Clear Stamp Set
- 15 Coordinating Frame Cuts
- 2 Sheets of Black Watercolor Paper (5.5″ x 8.5″)
- Watercolor Dot Dream Palette (18 Dots)
- Water Flow Brush
- Kit Value: $75
- Kit Cost: $34.99
1. Stamp the images from the February My Monthly Hero kit with Intense Black Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. Color with Copic marker and die cut with coordinating dies.
Markers are the same for all cards and are listed below.
2. To make the sparkle throughout the scene, make dots with the Copic Blender Pen. This will take away some of the color. Add small and larger dots and crosses with white gel pen.
3. Cut a panel of white cardstock to 4” x 5 1/4” and emboss with the new Star Branches stencil.
4. Stamp the sentiment with Intens-ified Black Ink directly on the embossed panel. Add panel to card base with foam tape.
5. Adhere the rain image with thin foam squares and the umbrella with foam tape.
6. Add tiny star confetti with liquid glue.

Hi, Jen/ Jennifer – You made such lovely cards to share w/ us!! Thanks! They are all beautifully done and the Surrealists would be proud, esp Magritte. I’m blown away by this month’s kit and very glad to be a MMH member. What a value! TFS all your talents – I love the frame you made w/ the watercolors. So intense and a little spooky!

Love your cards!
Way back when, I used to do calligraphy, and I used stencil for dry embossing. Now that I have a jillion stencils I hadn’t even thought about using them for that technique. Thank you for the inspiration!
