Hello! Welcome to the Hero Arts Spring Release Blog Hop. I’m so excited to be a part of this hop and share three cards with you using products from this release. as always, be sure to read to the end for GIVEAWAY information.

There’s so many exciting things to share today. Hero Arts is releasing a new tool collection, including a mini die cutter next month. Click the notify me button so you won’t miss out!

They are also hosting a Spring Stamp Along! You can view all the products needed here. They’ve also created a bundle purchase option for the products!

1. Use the Clouds and Grass Scenic Stencil to create a background on a 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock. The grass is Green Apple Reactive Ink and the Sky is Pool Party Reactive Ink. Adhere to an A2 card base.

2. Stamp the Color Layering Bunny with Charcoal and Soft Granite Inks. I did not have a Hero Arts Ink light enough so the ear and nose are Ballet Slippers Ink from Pinkfresh Studios. Die cut with coordinating dies.

3. Stamp the flowers with Intense Black Ink twice and die cut with coordinating dies. Color with W0, YG00, YG13, YG17, Y11, Y15, Y17 Copic markers.

4. Die Cut sentiment from Congrats & Yay Stamp and Cut XL from Peony cardstock once and white cardstock three times. Cut shadow layer from vellum. Adhere these pieces together with Precision Glue XL. Add Crystal Clear Lacquer Pen and allow to dry.

5. Add sentiment to card with liquid glue. Add flowers on right flat and flowers on left with foam tape. Add bunny with foam tape as well. Bunny and left flower cluster will overlap sentiment.

6. Add white gel pen highlights to sentiment and pink hearts throughout.

1. Blend Pool Party Reactive Ink on the bottom half of a 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and Blue Raspberry Reactive Ink on the top half.

2. Stamp the Birthday Balloons Bold Prints on the inked panel with Unicorn White Pigment Ink. Set aside to dry.

3. Die cut the Looking Glass Birthday Party Dies from Azalea, Cherry, Papaya, Canary, Meadow, Lapis, Lavendar, white and Pitch Black cardstocks. Cut the cake from White Glitter Paper and the candles from Gold Glitter Paper.

4. Cut the pieces from the colored cardstocks and adhere to the white cardstock with Precision Glue XL. Some things were easier to layer such as I added the entire balloon with the string in black and then adhered the colored balloons without the string over it.

5. Add Crystal Clear Lacquer Pen to the balloons. Set aside to dry.

6. Once panel is dry, stamp the sentiment from the Let’s Celebrate stamp set with Embossing and Watermark Ink. Sprinkle on White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. Add panel to an A2 card base.

7. Since each layer of the looking glass die cuts is a bit dimensional now, I added thin foam squares between each layer. Then I added a frame cut from Square Infinity Dies out of Nautical Cardstock to the top layer with liquid glue. Adhere the entire frame to the card base. *There is a new Looking Glass Square Frame Die available*

8. Add white gel pen highlights and star confetti throughout.

1. Die cut the Looking Glass Bee and Flower Dies from Neenah Solar White cardstock and color with Copic markers. I used. Y00, Y02, Y08, YR07, R39, YG67, G24, G28, E55, E57, E59.

2. Stamp a piece of 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” piece of Mustard cardstock with Novel Prose Bold Print with Unicorn White Pigment Ink.

3. Using the Alignment Tool A2 A6 Stencil, die cut a Square Infinty Die one size smaller than the stencil opening into the Mustard panel. Adhere this square to an A2 card base using the outer portion to place it correctly.

4. Die cut the Looking Glass Ornate Frame three times from Pitch Black cardstock and adhere together with Precision Glue XL.

5. Stamp the sentiment from the Let’s Celebrate stamp set with Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink.

6. Adhere the frame to the Mustard panel. Behind the panel adhere the three layers of looking glass die cuts.

7. Adhere panel to the card base with foam adhesive.

8. Add white gel pen highlights and jewels throughout.

I think the congrats card would make a great baby card but I didn’t add anything specific just yet. The Looking Glass Bee and Flower card would work well as a tri fold card with mustard stamped card bases throughout. The Looking Glass Birthday Party card would work as well if you were ambitious enough to ink blend each tri fold panel or you could switch to a colored cardstock.

    1. Wonderful cards. The bunny card is so cute. Love your background stamp pairing with the other two cards. All very beautiful! Thank you for sharing.

  4. So loving your creations from this release. And the dimensions you created with that looking glass set is insane.

  5. Loved all the cards. Your bunny was so adorable. The birthday care was so colorful and festive and was I was inspired by the “make a wish” card Thanks for sharing.

  6. Love these great cards, so pretty! I really like that Looking Glass Birthday Party die, I need to add that one to my collection! That you for sharing!

  7. Great card samples, love the palettes you’ve used on each of them. The teal background with the party scene is my fave. Thank you for sharing this gorgeous inspiration!

  8. The birthday card is awesome. happy I bought the Spring class and the bundle. Look forward to cardmaking with you.

  9. I love the color and layering! Looks like a lot of intricate work – might there be a short cut that you used to cut things at the same time. Would love to know.

    1. Thank you! No short cut. I just die cut one color after the other. Hero Arts cardstock is quite thick. Maybe with a thinner cardstock, you could cut two colors at the same time. I do have a Gemini Jr. so I don’t have to crank the dies through.

  10. All three cards are neat! The birthday balloons are so colorful and I need some birthday cards. Must be in a Spring mood though cause I love your bunny! Thanks for sharing these.

Awesome cards! I loved the “congrats” die cut paired with the little ducky! Thanks for sharing.

  12. Love your birthday card. Looking glass dies have become a quick favorite with me and all the inspiration for them along this hop has been fantanstic including yours. Also really love your bee card. My dad use to keep bees and I can almost smell the honey room looking at that card. Thanks so much for sharing.

  13. Hi, Jennifer – Wow, these are so good! I love the two done w/ Looking Glass dies. The bunny is, of course, very sweet. You are super-talented and I appreciate your sharing your skills to help all us viewers!

  16. I love all of your cards but especially the way you combined stamping and die cuts for that sweet little bunny design.

  17. Your cards are fantastic! I really admire your coloring talent. Those sunflowers look incredible. I really like the color choices for the birthday set too. I think these are the best I’ve seen with these sets.

  18. Thank you for sharing your cards! I like your style–the bold coloring especially. The birthday card and the honey bee card really pop.

  19. Cannot wait for Spring and these are beautiful reminder of what’s coming. And come onnnnnn… can it get any cuter than a bunny with a lil pink heart on hims butt. A.dor.a.ble
