Hello! The Spellbinders March Glimmer Hot Foil of the Month features two open roses plus a bud as well as several leaves. It also contains dies for all the plates in the kit and I love that.
1. Hot foil all the pieces in the March kit with Aura Hot Foil Roll on Hammermill cardstock.
2. Color the images with Pawsitively Saturated Inks in Melon, Cantaloupe and Sherbet for the flowers and Aspen, Sage and Pine for the leaves. Die cut all pieces.
I die cut first then colored the images but the stems are very thin so I’d recommend coloring first.
3. Hot foil the Essential Duo Lines Glimmer Rectangle on a piece of Powder Blue cardstock. Die cut with the largest A2 Precision Layering Basics A die.
4. Hot foil the sentiment from Let Your Sentiments Shine Brighter Glimmer kit in the center of the rectangle.
5. Add Cadette and Royal inks to the corners inward leaving a nice glow in the center.
Adhere the flowers in clusters in top left and bottom right with thin foam squares. Add leaves to each side with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.
6. Add the triple leaf piece and the rosebud as if it was a vine growing along the card. I felt there was too much open space in certain parts and the “vines” helped to fill it in but not crowd the card.
7. Add the panel to an A2 card base and add Metallic Gold Drops throughout. Curl up the edges of some leaves and flowers for more interest.
I love the colors together but I’m not sure I should have used the Powder Blue cardstock as the background. I think I might have liked just plain white better. What do you think? I also think I should have gone darker on the edges as well as the center of the flowers.
To add hot foil to Powder Blue cardstock I used two paper shims but for the images on the Hammermill cardstock I only needed one paper shim.

Jennifer, love how you’ve combined the different glimmer plates to create your beautiful card! Your use of the blue card base for your beautiful melon, cantaloupe, and sherbet colored roses is genius! Thank you so much for sharing your artistic talents! -Donna
