Hello! Simon Says Stamp has a new release today called Hello Gorgeous! This is the first of five Mother’s Day cards I created using the new stamps and dies. I was very inspired by these new products and can’t wait to share more.
1. Place the Folk Art Flowers Cling Stamp and a 6” x 6” piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock in a full size Misti. You can remove the removable stamps before or after placing in the Misti.
2. Stamp the remainder of the cling stamp with Sprout Pawsitively Saturated Ink. Add a bit of Field ink with a blending brush and stamp again for shading.
3. Return the flowers to the stamp while still in the Misti. Stamp the flowers with Lemonade, Cheeky and Guava. Add Citrine, Pucker and Watermelon inks with a blending brush and stamp again.
I stamped the dots with Ocean ink but in the end I added Gold Drops over them.
4. Cut the panel down to 4” x 5 1/4” and place on an A2 card base with foam tape.
5. Stamp the sentiment from the All About Mom stamp set with Embossing and Watermark Ink on white cardstock. Sprinkle on Gold Embossing Powder and heat set.
6. Cut the sentiment with a Nested Banners Craft die. Cut a second label die from Gold Currency cardstock. Adhere offset from the sentiment with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.
7. Die cut both flowers from the Crocus Stems die set from vellum and gold cardstock. Adhere offset with a very small amount of glue. Bearly Arts Precision Glue does not seem to show through vellum when you use a tiny bit.
8. Add flowers flat to card. Then add the sentiment over the flowers with foam tape.
9. Cover the dots with Gold Drops or place them randomly if the dots weren’t stamped.
This is a great cling stamp! You could use just the flowers or you could stamp the entire cling stamp in one color. Isn’t it great how the Crocus Stems die set works with the cling stamp?
