Welcome to Day 2 of Simon Says Stamp’s Happy and Joyful Blog Hop! I was inspired by the new A2 Marquee die to do some stitching on this card. It was easier than I expected but after completing the stitching I realized there was an easier way to make this card. That’s what I’m sharing today.

Use the code GRDPTY to get the Garden Party sticker sheet free with purchase. This promotion will expire 4/24 at 11:59 pm EDT.

Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $25 coupon to every stop on the hop from the blog comment section. They will choose the winners and post on the Simon Says Stamp blog on Wednesday, the 27th of April. The winner can email them to claim their prize.

1. Die cut the largest A2 Marquee die with the next size down four times and once with only the largest die from Neenah Solar White cardstock. Adhere together with Bearly Arts Precision Glue, making sure all the holes line up.

2. Bring the first color of embroidery floss up from the back in one corner over to the corner diagonally across from it. Tape the end in place on the back.

3. Count out where this color will be next used and bring it up through that hole and over diagonally again. I used eight colors so it was every eighth row.

4. Repeat until that color has been used 14 times.

5. Repeat steps 2-4 for all eight colors.

6. Die cut the You Mean The World To Me die from Pitch Black cardstock three times and black glitter cardstock once. Adhere together with liquid glue.

7. Die cut hearts from Delicious Decorations die set out of black glitter cardstock.

8. Adhere the die cut sentiment in the center of the card and the hearts throughout with liquid glue. I put some very heavy items over it while it dried to make sure it stuck to the embroidery floss.

9. Add panel to an A2 card base.

The way I did the stitching was with only one layer of the frame which meant hiding the backside stitches. It also made the frame a bit floppy.

Don’t forget to leave a comment to be entered in the giveaway! The next person in the hop is Sandi MacIver. You can find the complete list of participants below.
