Hello! Spellbinders has a new collection called Color Block Mini Shapes. It’s such a versatile collection in so many different shapes. I can’t wait to try them all but I like hexagons so that’s where I started.

1. Emboss a piece of 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” Pitch Black cardstock using the Optical Arches Embossing Folder. Adhere to an A2 card base using a very strong adhesive to get rid of the curling caused by embossing. I used Double Sided Adhesive Roll.

2. Die cut the hexagon base from the Color Block Mini Hexagon die set out of a rainbow of colors. I used Cranberry, Papaya, Canary, Meadow, Paradise, Lavender.

3. Die cut the hexagon shapes die from Gold cardstock.

4. Adhere the hexagons diagonally across the card, placing some on foam tape and some lay flat.

5. Place the gold hexagons throughout the card. I die cut the hexagon shapes die from a scrap of white cardstock three times, cut off the parts that don’t overhang and adhered them to the card.

6. Hot foil the sentiment from Yana’s Sentiments Foiled Basics with Aura Hot Foil Roll. I had foiled a bunch of sentiments for my last post so I just grabbed one from the package and used it. I die cut three blanks and adhered them all together with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.

Have you tried the new Color Block Mini Shapes Collection yet? What’s you’re favorite? Is there one you’d like me to try next? Leave me a comment below.
