Hello! I’m excited to share four cards made using products from Spellbinders new Celebrate the Season collection! The collection features a lot of great word dies as well as any glimmer plate sentiments. I think my favorite, though, has got to be the sleigh.
I’ll only be sharing highlights from each card since it’s long post. If you would like more details, please let me know in the comments.
Assembly of the skates and sled are very easy. I added extra layers to the bow loops and red jewels to the sprigs, which really livened things up.
I used the negative piece from the sentiment to line everything up. The sentiment is cut three times from white cardstock and once from white glitter paper. The background was hot foiled in red with a glimmer plate. I added a few extra paper shims and it turned out perfect!
The cardinal is added with foam squares. The red cardstock for the arch and heat embossed sentiments are the same as the darker red on the bird. It may have looked nice to use an embossing folder for the arch.
I die cut the pieces from several colors of cardstock. I traced a circle die on the cardstock then adhered the pine branches first, then filled in with everything else. The hot foiled sentiment was cut up to better fit the area.
Thanks for visiting!
