Hello! I’m so excited to share my card featuring the Simon Says Stamp and Colorado Craft Company collaboration stamp set for STAMPtember 2022. What a beautiful stamp set! There’s also a stamp/die combo set but I didn’t have the dies so I’ve created a one layer card for you today.
If you want this stamp set, click here right now because last year this set went
1. On a panel of white cardstock cut to 5” x 7”, stamp the images from the Catch a Star stamp set with Contour Ink. Stamp on masking paper, fussy cut and apply masks at the same time.
2. Place a strip of Very, Very Low Tack Tape flush along each edge. If you have a mask stencil, that would work as well.
3. Using a blending brush, add Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide lightly over the entire panel. Next, place Slimline Floral Border stencil and apply Villainous Potion Distress Oxide, repeating twice more. Go over the clouds with Kitsch Flamingo to soften and then start at the top with Villainous Potion working down.
4. Splatter with Shimmer Spray and remove masks.
5. Color the images with the following Copic Markers:
6. Stamp the sentiment in Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink. Add the tail and eye back in with 100 Copic Marker or a fine tip pen
7. Add white gel pen dots as stars throughout. Use Stardust Pen on stars for shine.
8. Place panel on a 5 x 7 cards base and adhere tiny stars throughout background with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.
I loved the idea of having the mouse standing on a cloud and how some images went beyond inked area. Of course, if you had the dies or wanted to fussy cut the images, there are so many fun ways to use this stamp set.
If you haven’t already, head over to Simon Says Stamp and get your own Catch a Star set. If they are already sold out, there are similar stamps from Colorado Craft Company linked below.
