Hello! Spellbinders just released the Home Sweet Quilt Collection from Becca Feeken. Such a fun collection inspired by quilt blocks. I fell in love with the French Braid and Hexagon set. I’m sharing two cards made that are constructed in the same way so you’ll find the instruction only once.

1. Die cut the panel outline from the French Braid and Hexagon Panels dies twice out of Alabaster cardstock.

2. Out of one of the panels from step 1, die cut the insert die. Adhere to the other outline panel.

3. Die cut the insert panel from a variety of cardstock colors. Cardstock colors are listed and linked below.

This is a good time to use up scraps by only die cutting the row you’ll need. You could instead cut the entire insert from each color and make multiple cards.

4. Adhere the die cuts from step 3 in rainbow order with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.

5. Hot foil the sentiments from All Occasion Mailbox Greetings Glimmer Plates using Satin Rose Gold Hot Foil Roll.

6. Die cut the sentiments with the Postage Edge Rectangle dies.

Since the die is too long for the sentiment, die cut the sentiment lined up with the top. Next line up the sentiment with the grooves cut the first time but as close to the bottom of the sentiment that looks good.

7. Emboss the Orange Peel Quilt 3D Embossing Folder on Alabaster cardstock and adhere to a mini slimline card base.

8. Adhere the die cut panel on the card with foam tape. Then place the sentiment with thin foam squares.

There are many more quilt inspired die sets in the Home Sweet Quilt collection you’ll want to check out.

Thanks for visiting!
